Although Vietnam's economy has a growing rate of 5 % per year, the demand of travelling has a double-digit growing rate. This means that new opportunities are opened for the giant aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus and some local aircraft manufacturers such as Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp, Bombardier or Embraer.

Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam said that the amount of domestic passengers has increased by 15 % this year. Despite facing difficulties in development, the airlines of Vietnam will own more aircrafts in the next few years. The number of aircrafts can be doubled or tripled to meet the increasing demand of domestic and foreign passengers.

The first private airline of Vietnam- VietJet recently ordered 92 Airbus aircrafts ($ 9 billion). According to Mr. Luu Duc Khanh, CEO of VietJet, Vietjet Air aims to open new routes to Tokyo, Beijing, Singapore, Kuala lumpur and South Korea, Russia, China and Australia, and many other destinations.

The big plans of VietJet can also promote the national flag carrier of Vietnam (Vietnam Airlines) to conduct its first issuance of shares to the public which has been long delayed. Vietnam Airlines currently has the largest market share in domestic market and it plans to increase the number of aircraft by 28 % in 2015. Currently, Vietnam Airlines' fleets include Airbus and Boeing aircrafts. The company has recently ordered Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus 350.
